In November, Meta approached us to create a one-of-a-kind thank you postcard for their end-of-the-year hampers that are given for developers and their most important partner in 2021. This is also used to welcome their initiative of building the metaverse in 2022.

madebyhumans took the challenge by creating an expressive thank you button. Since the concept of the postcard is to introduce the move from traditional media to the metaverse, we use traditional 2d hand-drawn animation mixed with 3D to create a symbolic parallel from the internet 2.0 to 3.0. We are also inspired by the Facebook connect 3d murals which introduce the 3d lines coming out from the mural painting.
